In 2009, Vario Helicopter celebrated its 35th anniversary, and one of the most popular full size helicopters also achieved 35 years of flight. In 1974, the Hughes 500 was introduced. The „old“ version of the Hughes 500 with rounded cabin nose and V-tail was fitted with a 4 blade head.
