Announced in 1990, the Bell 230 is a development of the Bell 222. Powered by two Allison 250-C30 G, 700shp G2-turbines and a fuel capacity of 710+ liters. Many versions were produced including:

• Bell 230 Executive, passenger transport.
• Bell 230 Utility, multi-purpose transport.
• Bell 230 EMS, Air ambulance version, equipped
• with one or two stretchers.
• It could even be equipped to operate over water.
