Alouette II

The Alouette II was the first production helicopter to use a gas turbine instead of a conventional heavier piston engine. The construction of the Alouette II is very reminiscent of the Bell 47 with their plexiglass pulpit and the latice body. Good visibility for the pilot, remarkable maneuverability and diverse applications provided for international recognition.
