Vario Event 2011

On Saturday, 4th June, Vario held its annual event. Guests from near and far were invited to attend and watch Vario helicopters been flown at the company's own airfield. This year’s Pilots were:

Dave Hollins with the Turbine Airwolf, the new Turbine Gazelle, the coaxial Kamov K32, the new Schweizer 300 petrol version, the large Bell 47 GIII for petrol mechanics and the XLC v2.

Bernd Pöting with the Turbine Hughes 500 and Bell 430 with electric mechanics.

Bruno Ziegler with the lama for petrol mechanics.

Kay Matthiesen with Turbine Mil MI-2.

Gabriele Pierini with Turbine-Bell UH-1D.

And last but no means least, Reto Marbach with his Turbine Lama complete with winch and many scale accessories. He gave a very scale flight with the Lama, including the carrying of a net full of barrels.

In the showroom, customers could see many models of the Vario range, obtain expert advice and also purchase items from the shop with 10% discount. A stand with GoPro cameras and an expert consultant allowed the customer to learn about this popular wide-angle HD camera, which is now available from Vario. A highlight of the event was the static scale competition, where people could bring their models and have them scored by a panel of 3 judges. The awards ceremony after the judging was carried out by the entire Zodtner family. Medals for all participants and trophies + gift certificates for the 3 winners were given as prizes.

Other attractions of the event were: Sale of Franconian asparagus, strawberries and wine, meals with meat and noodles, coffee and cakes and tasty sandwiches, ice cream from the region. The neighboring Fish farm also had many attractions for children and nature enthusiasts.
